This is Andrew Chin aka Brushy One String. He is the son of famous Rocksteady singer Freddy McKay. McKay died when Brushy was young and he grew up poor and illiterate. He received a break when a filmmaker who was making a documentary about Jamaica filmed this song, "Chicken in the Corn". Now Brushy is an internet celebrity and it touring in the West Coast of the United States. Go Brushy, go!

Bar Xaymaca
This photo was taken in 2007 at Bar Xaymaca in Fukuoka, Japan. Bar Xaymaca is a reggae bar located in the Tenjin district of Fukuoka. The name Jamaica is derived from Xaymaca, an Arawak word meaning "land of wood and water." The bartender pictured here learned English from the bar's owner, who is Jamaican, so despite being Japanese, he had a Jamaican accent.
